I also offer the following specialized treatment approaches:
An efficient and effective form of psychotherapy for individuals and children. Initially developed for clients suffering from trauma, EMDR has also been shown to work well in treating anxiety, grief, addictions, depression, sleep disturbances, stress, and more. For more information, see the Common Questions page.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
I have never seen another modality of couples therapy work as well as EFT, both as a client and a therapist. We always want to focus on the content of what is wrong, rather than the process of what is actually happening. Conflict resolution and communication skills are not enough to address the emotional processes happening underneath it all. EFT has been found to help find lasting change and connection. A great introduction can be found here: https://iceeft.com/what-is-eft/
Group therapy adds a dimension that cannot be experienced through individual counseling. There is a special dynamic to the process of group therapy connecting with other's through their stories, even when they appear very different from our own. Group therapy sessions on a variety of topics may be offered on a periodic basis. For more information, see the Group Therapy page.
